NSNU Bargaining Conference - November 18

As of October 31st, all but one of NSNU collective  agreements will expire. In preparation for talks with  your acute care, long term care and community care employers, the NSNU will host a Bargaining Conference on Tuesday, November 18th at the Inn on Prince in Truro.

Local representatives from all sectors are welcome  to attend. Every Local is entitled to be represented by  at least one delegate. “Each Chartered Local shall be  entitled to elect or appoint one (1) voting delegate per  one hundred (100) members or portion thereof, all of whom shall be members of the Chartered Local.”

Locals are encouraged to follow the AGM delegates election process – Article 8.03 of the Constitution  to determine eligible attendees. A Table Officer or  designate must register for their Local participants.  PNC members and Alternates must register themselves.

Registration opened on September 26th and will close on October 17th. The link to registration was sent to Table Officers on September 26th via an e-memo.  Each registrant will receive an email confirmation  upon completion of the registration process.

Members are also encouraged to participate in surveys. If you have questions pertaining to bargaining, please contact nsnubargaining [at] nsnu.ca.

Provincial Negotiating Committees of the NSNU

Elections for NSNU’s Provincial Negotiating Committees began on September 8th and concluded on  September 24th.

We thank those who put their names forward for PNC positions, those who cast their ballots, and congratulate  both the successful candidates and alternates. We greatly appreciate the time and effort you are committing  to this process. Please note that the acclaimed representatives do not have alternates because they were  unchallenged.
