Each year the CFNU helps send Canadian nurses abroad to provide humanitarian assistance. Many members of the NSNU take time out of their busy schedules to travel and bring their skills and compassion to communities in need. The CFNU recognizes nurses’ interest in participating in these short-term missions and the mutual value that arises from providing health services in a developing country.

Members who wish to apply for CFNU funding must do so by December 31^st the year prior to travel. Funding is decided annually in the spring.
